Anthony Striggles, a native of Wisconsin raised in Metro Detroit, Michigan, learned to appreciate music at an early age. His parents, avid music lovers, wasted no time exposing Anthony and his siblings to the sounds of legendary Gospel Artists such as Andrae Crouch, James Cleveland, Rance Allen, and The Hawkins Family. Those records inspired Anthony to take up piano, and the hands-on experience was so moving, that he learned other instruments such as the trumpet and drums.
The late 1980's and early '90's found Anthony working as part of the Road Crew for the legendary group Commissioned. This sparked the flame for the Music Industry that yet burns today. The mid-nineties afforded Anthony the opportunity to manage and work with such artists as J. Moss, Davey Hammond, Stan Jones, and Special Gift. He also began dedicating himself to Music Production, Studio Engineering, and Songwriting, working with a variety of artists in Gospel, Hip-Hop, Neo-Soul and Smooth Jazz.
Anthony was influential in launching the Recording career of Smooth Jazz Saxophonist Tim Reeves, recording and producing his debut album "Something Special" in 2005. They collaborated again in 2009 with "Long Way Home", Tim's second release. This formula worked once more as Anthony and Tim Reevesrecorded "Peace", to benefit the Haitian Earthquake Victims following the tragedy in 2010. The compilation album "C Notes For Haiti", also features Paul Hardcastle and Incognito.
The past few years has seen Anthony being quite busy producing the Inspiration Compilation, a tribute to his late brother, the Rev. James Striggles, which was released in 2010. He's also produced and written with Soul Artist Stan Joneson his album "The Way I Hear It".
The summer of 2011 introduced Anthony as an Artist. Teaming with Bassist LloydFoulks, they formed Sonic Phunk, recording "Digital Extasy", an eclectic yet seamless blend of Electronica, Funk, R&B, Smooth Jazz and Techno.
Not one to rest on his laurels, Anthony connected with Author and Motivational Guru Donald Payne, producing and recording the "Payneless Advice Motivational Mix", in the fall of 2011.
Sonic Phunk released their second offering "Straight To The Top" near the end of 2013. So stay tuned for much more from this multifaceted Artist, Producer and Songwriter.
